Position Title:               Agro Centre Yard Attendant
Reports to:                   Agro Centre Manager
Department:                Agro Centre

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

Reporting to the Agro Centre Manager, the Agro Centre Yard Attendant is responsible for delivering world-class customer service; and maintaining cleanliness and housekeeping standards of the main warehouse, yard, and all other storage buildings. Also, responsible for warehouse and yard inventory, taking pride in accurate inventory counts and keeping shrink to a minimum.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES PILLARS
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Operations:

  • Come to work with a positive, professional attitude and be dependable for all scheduled shifts
  • Perform cleaning, sweeping, general maintenance of the store and warehouse
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly department at all times
  • Adhere to South Country Co-op policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

People:

  • Provide information, assistance and service to customers in a manner which will promote the sale of merchandise and meet the needs, requirements and expectations of the consumer
  • Assist in loading merchandise to customers

Financial/Sustainability:

  • Able to stock shelves; pick, pack and load orders
  • Responsible for the care of forklifts, tools, and equipment in the store, yard, and warehouse as assigned

Market:

  • Be a liaison and public relations representative for the Co-op within the communities we serve, by delivering world-class customer service that is fast, friendly and efficient;

Required Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:

  • Previous related work experience would be an asset
  • Physically able to perform warehouse and yard functions, including ability to lift in excess of 55 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Must have a class 5 driver’s license
  • High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse environment
  • Energetic and outgoing individual, committed to exceptional customer service
  • Forklift and skid steer experience are an asset
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
